30th Celebration: The Classic Collection Is Complete

The Classic Collection is the nostalgic centerpiece of the 30th Celebration expansion. Now all 30 cards of this subset have been officially revealed. They are faithful reprints of famous cards from three decades of the Trading Card Game, finished with an elegant gold-star texture and the 30th Pikachu stamp. They are numbered from 136/103 to 165/103. 30th Celebration releases worldwide simultaneously on September 16, 2026, the first ever simultaneous global release in the game's history.

What is the Classic Collection?

The Classic Collection gathers 30 of the most sought-after collector pieces from past generations and reprints them in a unified, golden Secret Rare look. The artworks stay faithful to the originals, only the finish is new: a fine gold-star glitter across the whole card, plus the small 30-years Pikachu seal. For collectors it is a journey through the history of the game in a single set.

The biggest chase cards

Leading the way is a Charizard 137/103 in the classic Base Set artwork by Mitsuhiro Arita, with 120 HP and the legendary Energy Burn ability. Alongside it come icons like Gengar Prime 150/103, Crystal Lugia 142/103, Rayquaza-EX 154/103, the shining Celebi 141/103 and a Mew VMAX 163/103. Each of these cards was already a collector highlight in its original printing, so in the golden anniversary version they should be in strong demand on the secondary market.

What does this mean for collectors?

The Classic Collection is a strong reason to buy 30th Celebration. Anyone who loves nostalgic cards will find a curated slice of history in one set. Since all 30 cards are Secret Rares, they are rare and lift the pull rate of the boosters. They are pulled from the regular 30th Celebration boosters, there is no separate product for them. The worldwide launch on September 16, 2026 means no waiting for a later Western release, the cards arrive everywhere at the same time.

Keep an eye on the chase cards, especially Charizard, Gengar Prime and Crystal Lugia. They should move secondary-market prices the most shortly after release.
