Antique Edition: Korea's TCG Accessories for the Anniversary

For Pokémon's 30th anniversary, a limited accessory line for the trading card game is launching in Korea. It is called the Antique Edition and combines Pokémon with traditional Korean folk art.

The exhibition in Seoul

From 18 September to 11 October 2026, the exhibition Pikachu's Autumn Outing runs in Korea's capital Seoul. The venue is HiKR GROUND, a well known cultural centre. On display are artworks that combine traditional Korean art with Pokémon such as Pikachu, Hisuian Typhlosion and Fletchling.

There is also a stamp rally on site and a pop-up shop with exclusive merchandise. Anyone following the official Korean Pokémon Instagram account receives a sun cap with the exhibition artwork.

The TCG accessories in detail

The Antique Edition covers three items for players and collectors:

  • Double deck box for 10,000 KRW, roughly 6.40 euro
  • Play mat with Pikachu in hanbok for 20,000 KRW, roughly 12.80 euro
  • Play mat with Hisuian Typhlosion, also 20,000 KRW

Alongside the TCG accessories, the pop-up shop offers drinking glasses, collector pins, jackets, pendants and plush toys.

What this means for collectors

The Antique Edition is tied to the exhibition and therefore limited twice over: regionally to Korea and in time to just over three weeks. That exact combination is what makes licensed accessories hard to buy later. There is no German source, the only route runs through importers and middlemen.

For buying that means the shelf prices are low and the markups after the exhibition ends are usually a lot higher. We are watching for a reliable import source and will say so if something sensible comes out of it.
