Delta Reign: Heat Rotom ex and Groudon revealed

The Pokémon Company has officially revealed five more cards from Delta Reign. The set is the sixth main entry in the Mega series, contains 103 Pokémon cards plus secret rares and launches on 6 November 2026. Mega Rayquaza ex leads the set.

Heat Rotom ex (023/103)

The Basic Pokémon brings 190 HP and works directly with the discard pile. Heat Up costs two Energy and deals 30 damage for each basic Fire Energy card in your discard pile, after which those cards are shuffled back into the deck. Great Blaze costs three Energy, deals 170 damage and discards two Energy from Heat Rotom ex. Weakness Water times two, retreat cost one Energy.

Groudon (053/103)

Groudon is a Basic Pokémon with 150 HP and is tied to the set's new Stadium cards. Strength deals 40 damage. Brutal Land costs three Energy and deals 100 damage, plus 170 more if a Stadium with "Legendary" in its name is in play. That is 270 damage from a Basic Pokémon, provided the right Stadium is out. The retreat cost of four Energy is the price for it.

Kommo-o (075/103)

The Stage 2 card evolves from Hakamo-o and has 160 HP. The Ability Scale Rattle lets you look at the top six cards of your deck once per turn and attach any number of basic Energy cards found there to your Dragon Pokémon. The attack Hammer In deals 170 damage. The card was illustrated by Mitsuhiro Arita, who also drew the Base Set Charizard. For collectors that is a name with weight.

Delibird (079/103) and Amarys's Trust (103/103)

Delibird is a Colorless Basic Pokémon with 90 HP. The Ability Energy Giving Gift lets you look at the top six cards once per turn while it is in the Active Spot and take one Energy card found there into your hand. The attack Pummel deals 10 damage. Amarys's Trust is a Supporter card: it switches your Active Pokémon with one on your Bench and moves one Energy from the Pokémon you benched to the new Active Pokémon.

What this means for buyers

Delta Reign is the Western version of the Japanese set Storm Emeralda and arrives on 6 November 2026. There is no longer a reason to import from Japan. The cards shown today are regular set cards, not secret rares, but they point clearly at the direction of the set: Stadium cards with "Legendary" in the name will be a load bearing theme, and Groudon shows how strong that coupling is.

Anyone planning a display should keep an eye on pre-orders. With the last Mega series sets the first allocations sold out before release.
