Raikou ex 136/103: The SIR Chase from Delta Reign

On 22 September 2026 The Pokémon Company revealed more than ten further international cards from Delta Reign (German: Delta-Herrschaft). The standout is Raikou ex as a Special Illustration Rare numbered 136/103. It is Raikou's first appearance in the Mega era.

What the card says

Raikou ex is a Basic Lightning Pokémon with 200 HP and a Fighting weakness (times 2). It has two attacks:

  • Thunder-Clad: If you go first, you can use this attack during your first turn. Search your deck for 1 Energy card and attach it to this Pokémon. Then shuffle your deck.
  • Power Rush: 200 damage. Flip a coin. If tails, this Pokémon can't attack during your next turn.

The attack names come from the English print shown by the source. German names are not confirmed yet. The artwork is by Oku and shows Raikou in free fall over a canyon full of lightning.

Why collectors care

Special Illustration Rares are the rarest regular tier in a set and almost always command the highest single-card price after release. Raikou is one of the legendary beasts from Johto and has a steady following that collects every full-art version. Being the first Raikou card inside the Mega era makes it a set marker on top of that.

Date and size

Delta Reign releases on 6 November 2026. The set holds 103 regular cards plus secret rares, led by Mega Rayquaza ex. Everything above 103 belongs to the secret portion, so Raikou ex 136/103 sits well inside that range and pulls accordingly rarely.

If you want to hunt the card in a display, mark the date. If you only want this one card, the singles market in the first weeks after release is usually the better route, once prices settle after the opening wave.
