Storm Emerald: The Secret Rares Are Here

Just before the Japanese release on July 31, the most sought-after cards from Storm Emerald (M6) have surfaced: the secret rares. The main set had been known for a while, but only now have the real chase cards been revealed, and they do not disappoint.

The chase cards

The group is led by Mega Rayquaza ex, which appears in several versions. The Special Art Rare (110/076) shows the dragon in artwork by illustration-contest winner Kazuki Minami, joined by a gold version (113/076) as the set's ultimate chase card.

Also in high demand is Raikou ex as a Full Art (108/076), alongside the Special Art Rares of Golisopod ex and Mega Golisopod ex and the trainer card Zinnia's Trust as both SAR and Full Art.

More secret rares

Beyond the top chases there is a range of beautiful Art Rares and Illustration Rares, including Groudon (084/076), Kyogre (080/076) and Growlithe (078/076). In total, Storm Emerald holds around 35 to 40 secret rares.

What it means for collectors

Storm Emerald launches in Japan first, a full three months before the western version arrives as Delta Reign on November 6. If you want to pull the secret rares early, the Japanese displays are the way to go. Our Japanese booster display is available in our shop now.
